Wurlitzer replacment amp The Songbird,

Replacement for 200 and 200A models, other models on request

Same cicuitry as orginal 200A but with better parts and build quality.

If you have a older 200 model, don't forget to install the extra shielding plates, you find them below this text.

We prepare this amp for your piano if you want to do it your self, no soldering needed.

200A owners can use there existing transformer, if you have a other amp like a 201 or 200 series you need a new transformer, use No I don't have a 200A transformer option.

easy install, all old components will be replaced, gives your wurly the classic wurly sound with a better low end freq. No soldering required, only drilling.

Installing a Songbird amp,

1.       Open your wurlitzer, and remove the shielding plate above the dampers,

2.       Make sure all external cables, powerlines, lines to external amps are removed.

3.       Remove the old amp with all the wiring, pots transformer etc.

4.       Drill the hole between the Volume pot and Depth pot bigger to 8mm

5.       Place the new volume / vibrato print in place, the washer should be attached to the print!

6.       Remove the bracket where the output and headphone jacks are.

7.       Drill a hole in the middle 7mm for the speaker switch, look at your new output print how to,

8.       Place the new output print in place, attach the flatcable with the alu foil to the amp plate.

9.       Remove the blue cable with the XLR from the print, and lead it to the hole where the external output was (200A) if you have a older 200 type, drill a hole 19mm nearby the output pots, see picture.

10.   Lead the the new euro 230V cable in place and attach it to the Volume/Vibrato print

11.   Drill 4 holes for the new transformer 3,5mm and cut M4 wire to attach the transformer of drill 4,5mm holes and use bolts and screws.

12.   Remove the brackets on the reedbar, and place the small T print, the yellow wire goes to the damper rod in the back.

13.   On the print there are the following pots you may want to adjust to your personal taste,

Volume line

Volume speaker

Depth Vibrato

Volume DI out

All lackered pots, don’t adjust.
